Body Remodeling for Men- Where to start
Wouldn't it be great if the "body" business was like the car business, that we could trade in the
old clunker for a brand new shiny one. Just look at the option list to chose from:
Bulging biceps
Sexy six pack abs
Chiseled chest
Big back
Boulder shoulders
Titanic triceps
Thunderous thighs
Beautiful buns
I don't know about you but I would get the "fully loaded" model with all the bells and whistles
every year !!! I wonder how much longer I will have to wait for the "body" shop to open? I
guess hope does spring eternal. But if you are tired of waiting like me, there are ways to remodel
that old clunker. If you undertake only a single step to regain your youth, build new muscle. And
age is NOT a factor !
"You don't stop working out because you grow old,
You grow old because you stop working out."
I started weight training when I was 36. At that time I was moderatly overweight (40lbs), out of
shape, low on energy, prone to naps and ashamed to look at myself in the mirror after a shower.
My waist was 6" bigger than my chest. And to make matters worse I really didn't eat that much,
it seemed normal to me. The thought of dieting made me gag. I had lost 40lbs once before and I
clearly remember the torture. So on May 21, 1987 I started weight training and I thank GOD for
that blessing. This has had the single most profound effect on my physical apperance,
performance and attitude in the last 20 years. And the irony of it all is that I weigh the same
today as back then, except today it is muscle instead of fat. And I am proud to say that I have
the fully loaded model.
WHAT BUILDING YOUNG MUSCLE WILL DO
Speed up your metabolism
Are these compalints familiar?
My metabolism is slowing down
I eat less and I'm still getting fat
My muscle turns to fat
I've lost all my energy
These complaints have a simple explanation, muscles shrink as you age. A big muscle is like a
big car engine, it burns alot of calories even at idle. Less muscle causes your metabolism to
decrease, making weight gain even easier. Adding just 10 lbs of muscle will increase your bodies
metabolism to burn 500 calories more per day. Can you imagine what that will do to the fat ?
Recapture lost youth
Weight training can wind back the years by giving you the same or even more muscle than when
you were 25. Research shows that you can make big gains in muscle even if you are 60. And
between 60 and 100 is not a problem either, though you gains will be more moderate. Do you
think young muscle is not possible? Science has shown us that the turnover rate of proteins and
the other structural componets of muscle occurs several times a year in in a well trained muscle.
So even at 75, a fit muscle is a young muscle.
Please the ladies
Muscle cuts right to the core of being male. The amount of the sex hormone testosterone your
body produces is affected by the amount of lean muscle tissure you have. Quite simply, the more
muscular you are the more testroterone there is to go around and the greater your potency.
Increase energy
How does muscle size affert your energy and vitality? Muscles are a key storage area for
glygogen, the bodies fuel supply. A large and conditioned muscle stores more glycogen, so you
have more energy and endurance.
Improve how you look
Has middle age slouched you shoulders, given you a pot belly and made you look flabby? The is
no better solution than adding muscle mass. And adding muscle takes away the urgency to be
super slim. Too many men think that by stripping off all the body fat will improve their
appearance. That leaves many of them looking tired, haggared and downright old. The startling
loss of muscle mass ( your body will burn muscle as well as fat) associated with dieting creates
an alarming aging effect.
Improve sports performance
The increase in my strength has improved my drives in golf by over 20 yards. I now hit the ball
farther than I did than when I was on the college golf team.
Helps prevent diesease
Adding muscle helps keeps you fit, which can prevent or or delay serious problems like cornary
artery disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes. cancer, bone loss and osteoporsis, which can and does
affect men as well
So what are you waiting for ?
